Cleaned up HP-41CX Owner's Manual?

Post by millerjs »

Hello All,
I recently received my DM41X and am having a wonderful time working with it. Something I have found frustrating, however, is working with the scanned copies of the original HP-41CX Owner's Manual. I have seen references to an HTML manual that was made for the 41 series, but I can't actually find it anywhere. Something like this would be incredibly helpful to me, and, I imagine, many future DM41X users.

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this, or am I just chasing rainbows?

Thanks!

I don't know, but that looks great. According to the indicator in the bottom corner... it's going away in two weeks? I guess I better make an archive of it....

Hopefully not.
It's an rebuild of the original site from http://www.greendyk.nl/,
see the discussion at https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-11942.html
Eric (hpcalc.org) made this rebuild, see https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-1 ... #pid119489
"... < very large amount of work done by Eric > ...
So I have made an attempt to restore the site to be almost exactly the way it was just before it was shut down, but actually even better.
Here is the new site: https://archived.hpcalc.org/greendyk/
If you would like to download the entire site for offline use, the zip file is linked on https://archived.hpcalc.org/. Then it can never disappear forever.
If you have any problems with the site, please let me know. Also, if you saved anything that I am missing, I would appreciate that as well. I will also be continuing to fix typos as they are reported. "

This copy will NOT be going away.

These manuals are excellent, however note that these are for the 41C (not 41CX) but the Extended Functions and Time module manuals and the 82143 Printer manual are also available here, so this covers most of what you'll want for the 41X. There were about 20-30 additional functions in the 41CS that were not in these 2 modules, but you can always use the PDF copies for those extra functions if/when needed.

Most, but not all, such as the HP-IL Manual that you will be referencing in the next revision of the DM41X User Manual. This is available in the scanned documents on the MoHPC DVD Set, but the quality of the scanned photographs is very poor.
