Delivery to California USA

Post by amafan »

I got my shipping notice from SwissMicros for my DM41 on Sept. 28. It’s been over two weeks and no sign of it being delivered. How long does it usually take to the US?

I may have a problem!

Well, it took 9 days for mine to arrive in DFW, Texas. The problem is that it may have already arrived in California, but not yet cleared customs. I'd give it a bit more time before panicking.

Mine was shipped on Sept 28 and I received it today (Oct 13) in northern NY State. Yours should be there soon.

Hi. I too am in California. I was concerned as it took months for my DM10 to arrive, but it did. My 41x was shipped on 9/26 and I received it 10/9!

OK, I just Today got a HP42s I bought on EBay. 10 days from Montreal to San Jose. I guess I should just be more patient.

It's hard to be patient when waiting for such a great piece of equipment! I'm rusty, though. I won't say how long it took me to remember how to put in STO IND and even longer for "x<>y?"

Houston, Tranquility Base here. Eagle has landed.

I received my DM41x just now. Serial Number 458. It is solid, beautiful, and smart. Now I need to look at at it for awhile and just be inspired. Great job SwissMicro team. Heirloom quality products.

For those who want the parameters

Shipping notice received: September 28, 2020
Received: October 15, 2020 in San Jose, CA USA

Keyboard: Wow. Great feel and reliability
My DM41x arrived with no fanfare in the regular mail. I got no advance notification from the USPS as I usually get with packages. It was just sitting in my mail with the letters and campaign propaganda.

Cheers

I hope mine arrives soon. Shipping notice was 9/30 to Wrightwood, CA, USA and today is 10/22. Our post office is small and overwhelmed and loses things now and then. Fingers crossed!

Does SwissMicros use as trackable shipper? I just hope it isn't lost.

They use Swiss Post and the shipments are non-trackable. It transfers to USPS when it hits customs in the US. There is no way to track it that I'm aware of anyway. My DM41x just showed up in my mailbox on Day 16 after I got the shipping notice. I have the same issues with the USPS as you do, and add increasing instances of mail theft to the mix.

I do recommend to SwissMicros that they consider a trackable carrier for international shipments. FedEX or DHL would be good.

I'd gladly pay extra for FedEx or DHL on a $200+ item, for sure. Our post office has already cost me almost $100 this year in things lost or put into the wrong PO box and picked up by someone else. And we had a rash of mail theft last year as well (not lately so far, knock on wood!).
