As you all know by now, the SwissMicros website has undergone a major reshuffle recently.
We've been working to get the content back online in what you'll hopefully find to be a better organised structure than previously.
Several resources for the DM41X, DM42 and Voyager models (I count the DM41 among the SwissMicros Voyagers because of its form factor even though the HP-41CX wasn't a Voyager) are now available here:

Re: Technical resources back online
Is it correct that the link from the main swissmicros website links to a different location now.
I downloaded about 1 hour ago DMCP 3.19 for the DM42 and see only DMCP 3.18 now
For the DM41X I see DMCP 3.20 now, was DMCP 3.19
Maybe a quick check for the latest versions is a good idea.

Re: Technical resources back online
DMCP 3.20 is going out already with the latest DM41X firmware and will soon be going out with a DM42 firmware update.
Where is the link on the main website that you're referring to? That probably needs updating.

scroll down to DM42 and link firmware files / download here.
It linked to a location were DMCP latest version was 3.19
Now it links to the new location were DMCP latest version is 3.18.

Re: Technical resources back online
I think there may also be some confusion about the firmware versions because the DM42 folder at https://technical.swissmicros.com/ contains DMCP v3.18 (with and without DM42 v3.15 bundled), but the DMCP/firmware folder shows DMCP v3.19 as the latest firmware. This is related to the topics viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2538 and viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2546. I suppose DMCP v3.19 updates were more related to 41X development?akaTB wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 2:01 pmMaybe, but https://technical.swissmicros.com/ ≠ https://www.swissmicros.com/technicalEM41 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 12:29 pmhttps://www.swissmicros.com/technical

Just a thought: there may be less confusion about where to find the latest version of things if DMCP-without-the-bundle only appears once, perhaps in the DMCP/firmware folder. The DM42 and DM41X folders would then only contain the bundles and DM42. I'm not sure if it's possible with the way https://technical.swissmicros.com/ is set up, but maybe you could also have a shortcut from the DM42 and DM41X folders to the DMCP folder. If someone wants to only flash DMCP, then they can go to the DMCP folder from the shortcut?

Re: Technical resources back online
That's exactly the goal, it's simply a slow migration of the links in the new "www." website, in a desire to keep everything available while moving things. Some folks are more likely to access these resources from the www. area, and they avoid the more technical appearing content on the "support." site.firai wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 2:58 pmJust a thought: there may be less confusion about where to find the latest version of things if DMCP-without-the-bundle only appears once, perhaps in the DMCP/firmware folder. DMCP can evolve as the applications above it require, and though the goal is to keep the latest DMCP and accompanying documentation updated and available, it's possible a new application build can emerge ahead of the published DMCP integrated therein.

Re: Technical resources back online
Thanks for all the work on the new site. One small comment: the link to the DM42 encoder in the description of the Software Library in the DM42 forum needs some update:
DM42: 00425 - DM41X: β00066 - WP43: 00042
Re: Technical resources back online
Not any more
Well spotted and thanks for the heads-up.

It looks like the technical.swissmicros.com site is just a fancy skin on mod_autoindex listings, so I assume it should be relatively easy to replace the /dm42/firmware/DMCP/ folder with a symlink to the /dmcp/firmware/ folder.
