This picture clearly proves that centering is possible on the calculator rear. :D

(Background: Some weeks ago, an employee of SwissMicros claimed that being impossible. Hopefully he reads this ... :x )

I remember a HP advertisement in the Netherlands painted under a bridge.
If the bridge opened you could see "niets is onmogelijk" = nothing is impossible.
After some weeks someone added the text "als je het zelf niet hoeft te doen" = if you don't have to do it yourself.
Think it was the bridge in Aalsmeer at the N201, that was more than 20 years ago.

Well, I guess it all depends on the tolerancing...
Did you ask for a specific precision?

The calculator has been ordered, now the waiting start ... I will report back my first impressions when I have it.

SwissMicros is the only company I know working without tolerances (this is what Michael claims at least). Just FYI.

Ah the famous tolerances, accuracy and uncertainty discussion.
Its very well possible to work without the first but the other two will always be there :D

Edit: just placed my order

Others didn't know it was impossible, so they did it! :D

Great News !
DM41X is available just in time before the end of Q3 2020 as stated initialy by SM 8-)
Swiss precision.

As for the tolerances joke ....
ie: my DM42 had its stamping back skewed (typical spring effect under stamping press, or heat treatment operation for the PVD ?) and i had to open the calculator in order to "massage" the stamping until it can stay flat on the table. Fortunately it was not made out of 1.4310C1300 stainless spring steel (SUS301) :D
To be honest, this is tricky business for such low volume production. The stamper can't spend one day setting up the tools for each production batch.
Furthermore, if he has no tolerances on the drawing, all is fine for him.

As for the DM41X, can we have some feedback from the beta testers ?
Some full review, including the best HP41ROMs somewhere ? (Youtube would be great)

This is a truism - everybody knows this except one special Swiss company  whose name shall not be mentioned here.
