The portrait simulator requires 526x980 px. This is too large for your screen, [...]

@Tuxfish: please see here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1816&start=850#p15706 and posting.php?mode=reply&f=2&t=1816#pr15714
There are no skin/config parameters for now.
Hi,
after turning off the debug output

Code: Select all

#define DEBUG_PANEL                 0
then
make rebuild && ./wp43s
the WP43s can be used with my lower screen resolution of 1366x768 px (not ≥ full HD). (✓)
Nevertheless, a smaller skin/config parameter support in the future would be much appreciated ;)

Thanks for your prompt help & great work (marvelous project so far) !

Prima! Would you mind measuring the size of your WP43S simulator window as it is right now (in pixels)? You can do so by taking a screenshot and pasting it in good ol' PAINT, for instance. Just for curiosity.

measuring the size of your WP43S simulator window as it is right now
1000 x 568 px

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Unity standard desktop, notebook with screen resolution of 1366x768 px (≈WXGA, not ≥ full HD).
WP43S simulator window of 500+something (half the current size) would be great
& fit to the output of a WP34s- or HP15-simulator ...

Cheerio !

BTW: "Your wish is my command" (Paintbrush of Win 3.0 works with wine) :D :lol: :mrgreen:

Thank you!

Though neither witchcraft nor sorcery on this continent:
The display of the simulator must remain 400 x 240 pixels due to the law of pixel conservation. And you can take one of the older layouts published in this thread which were created by pixel editing and cut your teeth by trying to compress it as far as possible while maintaining readability. I doubt you'll achieve more than 20% in either direction but look forward to being taught better. Good luck!

Just FYI: updates of the manuals were uploaded at a GitLab near to you.

Edit 17.6.20: wp43s.exe was updated as well now.

V0.16 of the manuals was uploaded shortly ago. Enjoy!

(I don't ask for feedback, error and typo reports anymore - they won't come neither with nor without request. Verified experimental fact, unfortunately.)

Your STATS section in the manual does not seem to include a command to display the max of x,y and the min of x,y.
Is the omission of this planned or accidental?
Either way, can it be added to the STATS, maybe to the second STAT screen, next to rms.

The application for that is in addition to RMS being calculated from energy/time cycles, also the instantaneous max and min can easily be determined.

Please apologize if I miss the obvious, but what is the max of x,y and the min of x,y ? I'd understand the max of x or y ... :?

Feel free from that feeling! Good manuals need good lectors - and as a native (American) English speaker you're predestined ... :D
