Bob, not that I'm expecting an exact date. Is there any rough timeframe you can provide with regards to when a fix to the bug in CST will be available. I understand that wider development is ongoing, but in lieu of that firmware update, it pretty much means that I'm avoiding CST shortcuts altogether. By the time you add GOTO .. or CAT 1 as a remedy to the bug in question, you're ending up with more keystrokes than you're saving.
The CST shortcut system is such a great unique feature of the 41x, it's absence from my daily workflow is already sorely missed. Hat's off to all involved in engineering said feature. It's not easy to add a feature to a 40+ year old system where it instantly has 'I don't know what I'll do without it' status for the user.

Unless you've found some other related issues, I would not expect this to be encountered often, as it only occurs if the PC is left in ROM FOCAL programs when executing CST, which I think would be rather rare. But to answer the question, no, there is no specific time-frame established yet. As this is relatively minor (albeit annoying as you point out) and seems to affect few users, it's urgency is not severe enough to interrupt some additional work to either rebuild the prior state with only this fix, or disable something that is partially implemented, etc. Better to put the effort into [undisclosed...]
For broad-brushed looking ahead, more likely to be weeks than months, if that is any solace.

I have a feeling that the frequency of occurrence was probably a little higher in my instance as I was using the CST shortcut system to jump in and out of SandMath, SandMatrix and 41Z mass key assignments, granular launchers, XEQ$ use and the Last Function Stack. The CST shortcut system is a very tight fit for this type of workflow as you tend to desire vanilla ASN assignments to be kept to a bare minimum.

The desire to avoid normal Key Assignments when using some of Angel's advanced modules with sub-functions, etc. but still easily use those powerful features was one of my key motivations for CST. I've been working with Ángel with the aim of creating a toolkit that helps users work with his math focused modules as a combined 'super-module'. There's no rush to get this out, but because it relies heavily on the CST shortcut system, it would be better if early bugs are first squished.
There's in excess of 400 functions combined within SandMath, SandMatrix and 41Z and many of them are more utilitarian than their higher math billing. With that in mind, it's important that the toolkit functions well for 'pre-college' math problems as well as the higher math esoteric stuff. When you combine the CST system with state saving, you get an ability to quickly change the 'personality of the 41x with minimum fuss. It's great that you've managed to pack in other unique benefits of the 41x over and above portability, speed, robustness etc, etc.
