Sorry to bring K.PK up again. I want another shot at it ...

I chose K.PK (Key Pack) as the best of the available options. It is clear, compact, and due to the dot easily recognisable as two words, and it works. But are two words needed?

What about just KEYS. It is four letters. It is compact. Not repeated. And talks directly to the topic.

It would read ASN KEYS.

Any enthusiasm for that?
That's ok for me. As a global comment, I think the one word may be better than 2.

On exception is P.FN, for example which make the link with the similar key on HP 42s

That is just a comment, my experience on the WP is weak, I am afraid.

I like it! Simple, clear, accurate, fits nicely.

While simplest answers are usually best, it often takes time examining all the less-simple options for the good one to emerge. :D

I think again that the simplest is the best. The other 2 words keys left are explicites, X.FN and P.FN.

For me the keyboard as proposed is clear and Ok.

I have changed ASN K.PK to ASN KEYS located at the shift [1] position. See below.

I also decided to change the long labels REGS.V and FLAGS.V at the blue shift on [Up] and [Dn], to REGS and FLGS respectively.

The words REGISTER VIEWER are not obvious from REGS but the simple stronger REGS undeniably does the same thing as my previous REGS.V and the main 43S project's RBR. Similarly, the words FLAGS VIEWER are not obvious from FLGS, but for the same reasons, I believe shorter is stronger, and FLGS indeed is compact, short, clear, not confused with yellow FLAGS on the other side of the keyboard. My previous name was FLAGS.V and the main project's name is STATUS.

The reason for these changes now, is reconsideration from a graphical layout perspective, to have more visual impact, less clutter and a clean and low distraction visual result. @Inautilus is continuing to do a sterling job and we are working the layout very hard for the last few weeks.

Any objections?

I agree, these are improvements! Shorter, cleaner, but still easy to understand. The prior names may have been the best options at the time chosen, but this round of simplification is moving in a good direction.

While it's certainly true that someone new to the machine may not assume that REGS means 'Register Viewer', frankly that's probably the 100th or so thing such a new user may wonder about just dabling with it, while a user that has studied the machine will surely recall what it's for.

Hello

No, no objection at all, this is fine for me and that is a good job. Thank's for that.
