Re: DM41X
I got the chance to play with it at HHC2019.
As usual the keys assignment was a subject of discussion between attendees.
There are some area that still needs improving but that is completely normal at this early stage.
All in all, it is a very nice implementation of an HP-41 and I will buy several units when it becomes available.
My hat goes to Michael and David for making this possible and also to Robert and Angel (and others ?) for their invaluable contribution.

Great to see this come to reality. VEry nice presentation on youtube.
Are there any beta testers needed? If so how to sign up?

A full HP-41 emulation in the body of a DM-42 with a key assignment layout to match as possible the original HP-41.
David has written his own NUT CPU emulator and the calculator is running the original HP-41CX ROMs.
This is very similar to what Monte has done with his 41CL, although in his case his emulator is running in an FPGA.

Re: DM41X
I have the 41CL, which is great.
One nice feature of the DM41X will be the much easier transfer to/from other devices. [edit: at least, I hope so; I've yet to watch the video]
I see a niche for both: 41CL original look and feel, but with modern performance and massive expandability, but the downside of slow, inconvenient PC transfer. DM41X original content, modern performance, and great transfer features, but losing the original ergonomics.
I'll buy one (if the key/dome issues on my DM42 can be fixed)

Re: DM41X
Eagerly awaiting the Beta program. Anyone want a DM41L cheap? I never did like the landscape format.
