Flashing DM-41 firmware on DM-15
Re: Flashing DM-41 firmware on DM-15
May be there is a "business case" for SM to sell a blank DMxx (credit card format) xith all the DM10, DM11, DM15, DM16 and DM41overlay layout?

Maybe. I printed it on A4 printer paper and cut it out with a guillotine before applying a liberal layer of Pritt Stick and plopping it on the keys. It won't survive the rain, but then I wouldn't want to risk the calculator in the rain anyway.
I was thinking about the blank overlay idea. The issue with the paper overlay is that is does [a/e]ffect the clicky feedback a little. How is the keyboard attached to the circuit board? Is it easy to remove? A truly blank overlay on a DMXX model would have the weakness that any additional overlay would negatively affect the haptic feedback. I don't know what the solution is though.

On the DMXXL models, a card template with holes in could fit between the keys without [a/e]ffecting their action, but that doesn't really help with the DMXX issue.

On the DMxxL models you have the problem of the keys where you would also need stickers à la WP34s...keithdalby wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 2:04 pmOn the DMXXL models, a card template with holes in could fit between the keys without [a/e]ffecting their action, but that doesn't really help with the DMXX issue.

Good point. A blank model would be good though, if with white keys and bezel that could be written on with solvent-based ink so the labels would be semi-permanent.

For custom key assignments:
Is it possible to assign keys to run programs that assign keys, so a menu can be made?Re: Flashing DM-41 firmware on DM-15
Yes.
The "PASN" command that is part of the X-Function module included in the 41CX ROM does this. Search for a user manual for the HP-82180A X-Func module, it's widely available on line.
