The second paragraph of Section 5.3.1 includes the phrase, "For instance, if the calculator is in FIX 3 mode..."
But the end of Section 5.3.1 says, "...this assumes calculator is in FIX 4 mode...". If this is not a contradiction, the intended meaning is unclear.

Thanks. Fixed for next version of the manual.
The whole parenthesis with "FIX 4", plus the warning message made no sense there. They were a leftover of some other formulation/draft about clearing data which I can't possibly recall here.
