MathJax, anyone?

Post by grsbanks »

Test: area of a circle: \(\pi r^2\)

\(V = \frac {\pi r^3}4\)

\(\large V = \frac {\pi r^3}4\)

\(\Large V = \frac {\pi r^3}4\)

\(\LARGE V = \frac {\pi r^3}4\)

\(e^{i \pi} + 1 = 0\)

Nice work! Does it support both the "inline" and the "display" style?

I'm afraid it only does the inline variant, but you can do something like the display style by prefixing your expression with one of the size modifiers like \large, \Large or \LARGE.

\((-8)^⅓ = e^{ \frac { 1 } { 3 } ln (-8) } = 1 + i \sqrt{3}\)

I have a (Danish) astronomy forum and are also using MathJax on that phpBB forum:

https://www.astronet.dk/forum/viewtopic ... 3081#p3081

I use it very often, whenever an equation are to be shown and several other users are frequently using it. It’s a very powerful tool for showing formulae in a phpBB based forum.
