Test: area of a circle: $$\pi r^2$$

$$V = \frac {\pi r^3}4$$

$$\large V = \frac {\pi r^3}4$$

$$\Large V = \frac {\pi r^3}4$$

$$\LARGE V = \frac {\pi r^3}4$$

$$e^{i \pi} + 1 = 0$$

I'm afraid it only does the inline variant, but you can do something like the display style by prefixing your expression with one of the size modifiers like \large, \Large or \LARGE.
