Am I alone wishing the output if the CATalogs could take advantage of the multi-line display capabilities? If not, pls. chime in and cast your vote... the more requests the more chances to get it done, I guess.
It'd be very nice to have a few entries of the enumeration shown at the same time on the display, and even better if the Up/Down keys would also be functional within that representation to choose the specific one to act upon...
a mock-up is attached showing a CAT'2 with headers

100% behind this suggestion. In fact I don't see any reason why it shouldn't offer the complete multi-line rendering capability of the Program page. I find the 6 line display to be a perfect balance between legibility and optimal UX; at 8 lines, legibility suffers a little too much for my taste.

Re: Scrolling CAT listings anyone?
would like to see this on my HP41X .
Could you somewhere in the last screen fit it from which catalog the functions are coming.
Could the list be a hotlist, ie. selecting a line, press xeq menu button and the execution will start?

Re: Scrolling CAT listings anyone?
I hope so, certainly that's the intuitive approach and emulates the advanced CAT" behavior in the OS/X module.
Let's hope the idea is then "sanctioned" by Swissmicros and added to the machine in a future build.

Perhaps the number of lines then could be toggled between 4,6 and 8? And even better, automatically activate <ALPHA> to enable a search function. That is: upon entering letters only show those commands/functions starting with these letter(s). And, and ...
