High-Resolution Plot

The Beta programme is where a device becomes fully formed. If you have any suggestions for features to integrate into the DM41X then feel free to make them here. We can't guarantee that they'll all end up in the final product but we'll certainly consider all sensible proposals.

Do you mean ymin and ymax? If so, I get a DATA ERROR after x=165. 110 is the last line printed when I do that.
Yes, sorry - I meant Ymin & ymax... it was just a hunch but proved wrong.
So I have revised the listing and it's correct. Further, I tried it on a 82143 thermal printer and it works as intended, so I guess the code needs to be tweaked for the IR printer somehow. I'll take a deeper look during the weekend.

Threw it at my i41cx app under iOS.

SIN (x) from x=-180 to 180, ymin -1, ymax 1, 2.5 increment:

Looks like an outgrowth of the "HP" routine from the PPC ROM, whose initial version appeared in the PPC Journal V7N1P25 (from January 1980). Boy, 40-some years go by fast :-)

Oh yes! But 40 years later, a high resolution plot should look more like high resolution, doesn't it?
WP43 SN00000, 34S, and 31S for obvious reasons; HP-35, 45, ..., 35S, 15CE, DM16L S/N# 00093, DM42β SN:00041

If only the printer didn't skip rows, leaving them blank.... <sigh>

With the same printer and the same O/S?

If you don't change anything in 40 years, well, alas, it may be your fault. Some progress sometimes is nice for us, isn't it?

At least we've had this for over 40 years.
Still waiting to see which will materialize first between THE BOOK and the 43S. :?:

Oh but many things have changed, just not the printer.... lots of progress otherwise. And it's nobody's fault since there's nothing wrong.

Still waiting for someone to clarify to me how specifically for such plotting operations the HP 82162a can be brought to do the shorter linefeed which does not skip rows…

And BTW, as this is a DM41X forum: why is there no HP-IL Dongle for the USB-port of the DM-41X?

Might this become a possibility once the hardware has progressed to USB-C?
