Move the statusline from the display to the top
Move the statusline from the display to the top
The statusline (ie where RAD is displayed) appears on the bottom of the display. Could this be moved to the top of the display, in order to have the statusline of the DM41X and the status of the calc display in the same area?

Re: Move the statusline from the display to the top
The 41 Status line is identical to the original 41 status line (except for the small gap between G and RAD on the original, needed by the minimal spacing the separate annunciator cells required at that time).
So, the application status is where it always was, while the platform/emulation status is far away, to keep them distinct and separate.
And yes, the BAT annuciator and battery icon are arguably redundant, but the battery icon is more of a gauge, with battery level indicated, while the BAT simply means it's time to get new ones.

Re: Move the statusline from the display to the top
visually they are well separated that is not the problem. Functionally they should be as close as possible together.
So (apart from the discussion if it resembles the original HP): is it possible to do?
If not so be it, but if (remotely) possible it gives me hope.
Answering this question gives also a direction for future wishes. It is still unclear to me what can be done and whatnot.
E.g. the go41cx on my phone can show the 3 stack elements in one row. Would that be possible on the DM41X?
