Hello dear friends of HP calculators and swissmicro emulators,
assuming that the main memory dumps between DM41L and DM41X are fairly compatible, I tried a transport with an .D41 renamed extract from DM41L towards DM41X. Unfortunately, I was stopped with the "Bad Model ID" message (see screen shots) and now I don't know what to do next. The opposite way, i.e. from DM41X to DM41L, seems to work.
I am aware, that the Web application functionality for the DM41X encoder is still being in construction at swissmicro.
Thanks
Manfred

Can you post here the memory export that you tried to load into your DM41X? (just copy/paste it here, you won't be able to upload the dump file)
Note that it must have:
DM41
...on its own on the first line to work.

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who do not.

This dump was created by the DM41 programming tool encoding a source program. See the "DM41" in the first line. The well-known error message is a message from the DM41X operating system before the "inner" HP41CX emulation software takes effect.
Thank you for your help

I don't know why my first reply sent is not visible.
Workaround/Problem for me solved:
In the meantime, I found a simple workaround. Programs that have been created on the DM41X and decoded with the DM 41 programming tool can easily be supplemented with DM41L sources, encoded and imported back onto the DM41X.
