Post by grsbanks »

DM41X V1.14

Fixes:
  • CPU slow-down when unplugging USB during program execution
New features / changes:
  • Possibility to save and restore contents of Active Modules list and Flash Area contents
  • Rework of Active Modules screen to accept any number of modules
  • Superfluous "Mute Beep" removed from Settings menu
User Manual additions and updates:
  • 2 - General Information -- Added basic information on DM41X configuration and abilities
  • 4.5 - Backup Module Lists -- New section added
  • 6 - DM41X Menus -- Navigation in lists
  • 6.3 - Module Menu -- updated
CPU slow-down when unplugging USB during program execution

If a program was started while the DM41X was connected to a USB port, the CPU's clock would not be brought back down to 24MHz when unplugging the calculator.

This would have caused excessive drain on the battery.

Superfluous "Mute Beep" removed from Settings menu

It was pointed out that this setting had no effect on the calculator's Flag 26.

However, rather than fix this, we decided that the setting was actually unnecessary because the flag is set systematically at power-up to enable the beeper to sound when an alarm becomes due.

DMCP V3.20

This is a maintenance release that provides no extra features beyond those of V3.19 but paves the way for future enhancements.

Known bug

If you use the [▲] and [▼] keys to navigate through a program listing, pressing [←] can, under some circumstances, delete the current program step and the following step.

We're working on a fix for this. In the meantime, the workaround is to stick to using [SST] and [BST] to scroll through a program listing.

Downloads

The firmware is available in the usual place.

Done, thank you!

Tested USB & battery issue and is now visually clear from the goose that plugging and unplugging and plugging back, shows different flight speeds... ;)

Thanks a lot for solving all those bugs so quickly, I guess the machine is now more or less production ready.
The DM41X has became my primary machine now, even I bought also the DM42, I will certainly buy the final one too to keep on my other adres.
I never expected to be so exited about a calculator.
