I studied all topics here but did not found the right answer to my problem.
My calculator does not connect to my pc (win10).
The driver cannot be installed.
The usb sign on my calculator appears when connecting to the pc via usb cable.
On the pc it is invisible. Ok
I Set the calculator with setup,System, bootloader in connecting Status.
Next i Start inf.wizard.exe to create the libusb Installation.
The program should now show STM32 BOOTLOADER in the list.
But it is not shown.
I tried it with another win10 pc, but the same.
Wo can help me?
Thank you.
Michael
DM41X libusb problem
Re: DM41X libusb problem
Hi there.
Two things.
Firstly, there is no need to install the libusb drivers to use the DM41X (or DM42 with firmware later than V3.5) with a PC. The only thing that this was needed for was to update the firmware, and that is now done by simply copying the relevant binary to the root directory of the calculator's FAT drive. No need to engage bootloader mode or anything like that.
Secondly, are you sure of your cable? Don't forget that many microUSB cables supplied with devices that only draw power from a USB port (and don't transfer data) are power-only USB cables that don't have the TX- and TX+ lines in them. If your cable is one of these then it will never work.
If you are sure that it is indeed a data-carrying cable then this topic might help (the DM41X and DM42 are identical from a hardware perspective): viewtopic.php?f=18&t=290

Re: DM41X libusb problem
AFAIK the USB sign on the calculator indicates only USB power, at least on DM42.
DM42 SN00284 & SN03835 running C47, HP34C, HP41CV, HP42S, HP35s, WP34S, HP Prime

Thank you so much for your fast replay and help.Secondly, are you sure of your cable? But how do i know that the usb cable is the right data cable and not only a charger cable?
Re: DM41X libusb problem
You can try the cable with another device that allows you to transfer data through a microUSB connection. Alternatively, you can procure a microUSB cable that is known to have data lines in it.
