How big was the DM41X Beta batch?

Post by Walter »

Sorry, I couldn't find an answer elsewhere:

What was the batch size of DM41X Beta?

Is a calculator carrying e.g. S/N 00109 a Beta?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I don’t know numbers, but any DM41X with a black shift key is a beta ;)

Because English is my third language

My beta is s/n 00005, so hardly a reference.

Thanks, Mark and ctrclkws. Seems there were at least 78 and at most 180 in the Beta batch. Is there anybody with a Beta or a production DM41X in between?

EDIT: Checked some signatures and adapted the numbers above.

From memory I think the beta run was 100 units.

I've just realized I have S/N 00001!

My beta is 85 and production 5566 or something (that one is at my other location).
Following the serial numbers, the sequence and the estimated number of calcs the serials are completely random or based on something we didn't discover yet.
I would do the same if I were SM, otherwise you inform people, or corrupt institutions like amazon, about the actual revenue of your business :D
