Rcvd #181 in eight days to Northern New Jersey. The keyboard does feel much nicer.

Thank you.

I ordered last Friday and got a shipment notice on Monday to California USA. The shipment notice didn't have carrier information or tracking number. How does SM usually ship to the US? I emailed support to ask but I haven't gotten a reply.
They ship via Swiss Post, and there is no tracking number. In the past it has taken about two weeks to arrive in the USA, but with all the COVID-19 slowdowns, it will probably take longer this time around.
Though indeed slower in the early Pandemic period, I recently received a shipment from SwissMicros, sent in the normal way, in 11 days (to NY), so it's back to normal in general, but of course individual cases can and will vary.
I received mine today, just 9 days after the ship date, so you are correct that there is no extra delay due to COVID-19. In fact, I'd say it was a bit quicker than previous shipments. These must be selling much faster than the DM42 did when it was first introduced. My DM42 is SN: 00159, whereas this new DM41X is SN: 00973 !
DM15L, S/N 00548. DM42, SN: 00159. DM41X, SN: 00973.

Hi, I am new in this forum. I got my (first ever SwissMicros) calculator a few days ago (had plenty HPs in the past). DM41X s/n 000303, ordered 27 SEP. Regarding the s/n sequence I dare say they appear quite randomly, not related to the time of ordering. If that is true, we do not exactely know how many are already sold/ordered. Maybe the highest reported s/n gives the scale of cases (pre-)produced.
And yes, I am quite satisfied with this calc. Specifically, I like the stainless steel case.

I have been the proud owner of a DM42 for about a year and a half and I love it. I have had a battery issue with it off and on and Michael from SM has been very helpful. When the capacitor replacement did not work, he sent me a new DM42 which works perfectly. When I saw that the new DM41X was dropping, I immediately ordered one. So, I received an order confirmation for the DM41X on 28 September 2020 and the unit arrived yesterday. I am absolutely stunned by the build quality and attention to detail. The letters and numbers on the calculator are stamped in and paint filled, not just painted on. The keyboard is fantastic with an excellent, tactile click. I hope that a retrofit kit will be made available to replace the DM42 keyboard. The DM41X exceeds all of my expectations. SwissMicros builds the best calculators and stands behind their products 100%. Looking forward to more great things from this company.
