In the US, when someone says almost 8 inches (no matter what the topic) they're talking about the length of a certain part of the body.

It is not actually unreasonable. The original stickers are 35mm wide and the rear of the DM is 75mm wide.
They would fit side-by-side with no reduction necessary. If they were printed sideways like the original they could even be enlarged a bit.

This picture is a textbook example why one should never start measuring at the worn end of a scale. ;)
I'd suggest a value of 73 mm for the flat part of the rear where printing is viable. :geek:

I think I better edit my post! :shock:

My eyes are 40 years older now then they were when I bought my first HP 41c with extended memory and functions. :o

If I do the math, in 1980 I was 23. I am now almost 63. About the +5.00 helpers, I use those for extremely close up work like watch servicing. :ugeek:
