Keys 7, 8 and 9 Are not working.

Post by mezoganet »

After 2/3 weeks of use my 7/8/9 (numeric) keys are quite unusable.

There is a weak response from them : clic twice to be sure that the first keyed key is entered... It seems that there is a first clic that does not work and I have to insist to get the 7/8/9 to be registered. But look at the display guy and be carefull when you type !

Yes but there is a problem on the display too: a dust seemed to be inside so I use a standard screen cleaning, the one I use use for my PC, my IPad... etc... but I have now a kind of stain on DM41X display.

I don't talk about the yellow key vanishing and becoming black, yellow you said ?

Not really the DM42, even if I know the DM41X device is a BETA.

Little bit confused.

Anyone else having this kind of issues ?

I have a couple of keys that don't register well, '1' in particular, in my case.

am hoping to try a new foil when Michael gets some.

By my side just the 7,8,9 row.

I did use a foam to compensate and try to solve this, with no success...

I have the problem with many keys. I have already opened the machine several times to work the domes. Nothing does it. :(

I also have a dust under the glass on the screen. We’ll have to take it off and clean it.

As for the yellow key, it became definitely black.

Finally it's a bad choice to put two domes under the "RETURN" key. :ugeek:

Beta beta beta !!! ===>good good good ???

I would say Beta is not good for you  neither for me :geek:

I wont try that again, keep my DM42 by my side and I would buy a second one when it's available ... After the Covid19

Still a fan of SwissMicros anyway, but the DM41X is a real specie to dompt !

Same problem here now, but then with the 2 and 3 key (1 still works).

Classic franglais :)

"Espèce à dompter" → "species to tame" or words to that effect.

OIC. We always used more English in our franglais, something like this: Espess a taymay (infinitive "to tame")
