...there are commands like "FAST" and "SLOW" (ROM Header "- DM 41 X")
They manipulate the speed of the OS, but not of the FOCAL progs... am i right?
Is there a manual about this commands?
Anyone having speed issue ?

I would have think that speed would be more or less the same as my/our DM42... any clue to speed It up is welcome

My DM41X is unreachable because of the strike we have at the moment in France, I would say Fstriked (F...rench Striked abbreviated).

Hope to get it next day, 2 days lost.

Viva LasVegas’ Thanks to ZZTop, even if there are for nothing, but here it is quite a kind of Loto when you waited for so many years... 1979 is so far ago :(

I will tell you tomorrow what’s my #sn, if everything come back to « normal », but always difficult to explain French normality for us « mortal, normal people ».

But this device comes from China... oops this frighten me. Cholera or SRAS ? Who knows ?

Little bit upset tonight.

Enjoy your toy !

... does that mean that I could use my HP Prime cable for the DM-41X, or should I simply order another micro-USB to USB cable?
I do exactly this. ...
Thanks very much for this additional info.

Just in case, I just ordered these:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01 ... UTF8&psc=1

It's a 3-pack, so if I have to do any trimming, I won't be doing it on my precious HP Prime cable.
I'm trying to be as prepared as possible for when my calculator arrives.

Absolutely not.

The DM42 is native code for the STM32 chip. The DM41X is an emulator for the STM32 running a patched version of the HP-41CX ROM.

Just a little bit frustrating... just like the DM41 which a snail compared to the DM15L, and of course the amazing DM42 !

Wow, that certainly is cheap for 3 cables, and they look like they're pretty nice too; I like the braided cable style, they're more distinctive and seem to hold up better too.

The backshell on those cables is definitely thinner than on the Prime cable, so hopefully there is no interference with the DM41X case, as it appears there is a grey/silver hard plastic shell around the normal black (usually softer plastic) shell. If this cable will not plug in 'deep' enough due to the shell interfering with the DM's case, it will be harder to trim this hard plastic neatly. But the good news is if it doesn't come out perfect on the first try, you get 2 more!

Good luck - and let us know if they fit.

DM41X beta unit s/n 00005 has safely arrived.

First impression: very high quality, keyboard feels exactly right (one of my worries), and a great looker!

I am only curious if everyone's keyboard has the same shift key; I had expected a different (more yellowish) colour.

Thanks *very* much for posting this! I've been privately fretting about this, since the original DM-42 keyboard descriptions.
