Yesterday, I received mine. #0035
My favorite CCD rom works fine! I like it much.
What about the speed? It is not much faster than a real hp41.. is there a command or a trick
to increase the speed?

...there are commands like "FAST" and "SLOW" (ROM Header "- DM 41 X")
They manipulate the speed of the OS, but not of the FOCAL progs... am i right?
Is there a manual about this commands?

Yep, you all got what you wanted. Don't deny me my dream of getting what I want too.
You can get what you want. You just have to adjust what that is. :?

My MacBook Pro has USB-C connectors for communication. I also have a dongle to change USB-C to the old USB-A.

What kind of USB cable will I need to connect my DM-41X to my computer?

Many thanks in advance!

There's a standard microUSB connector on the DM41X.

Thanks a million!

Pardon my ignorance on this - does that mean that I could use my HP Prime cable for the DM-41X, or should I simply order another micro-USB to USB cable?

While I'm asking questions, would this choice be correct to make a proper interface:

Many thanks for your patience and attention!

Any microUSB cable that carries data as well as power for charging (some only carry the latter) will do the trick, so the one you use on the Prime should be fine if you can do backups, copy data and push updates using that one.

I do exactly this. The USB cable that came with my original Prime is well made, includes an integral RF attenuator (magnet around the cable), and I leave it plugged-in to my USB hub and use it to connect to anything I use with Micro-USB ports, including all my DM42 and DM41X machines.

However, note that you MAY have to trim a bit of the black plastic backshell behind the Micro-USB connector, do the larger-than-normal plastic backshell on this cable. It was designed to fill the recessed 'socket' in the Prime around the port, so it's a bit larger than normal and in some cases, this can prevent the Micro-USB connector from seating fully into the DM machine socket. I trimmed about 2mm off, cut at a 45-degree angle. This does not affect its use on the Prime and works 100% in all DM units I've tried it on.

I can post a photo if you think the above isn't clear.
