Re: text editor
thank you very much. other than the name, does ED$ work the same as ED?

Re: text editor
I've never been able to execute ED$. It always comes up "FL NOT FOUND".
Not sure where it is hiding.....

Re: text editor
Just use [XEQ] "ED$", or you could assign it to a key....

Re: text editor
Nope, that does not work. "FL NOT FOUND".
Somehow I must have deleted it. Not even sure where it is looking to find it.

Re: text editor
It CAN'T be deleted, it's part of the OS.
Type these exact keys: [XEQ] [Alpha] [E] [D] [shift] [P] [Alpha] and it will put you into ED mode.
If the above does not work, remove all installed ROMs, and try again. No need to deletes the module files, just be sure to unplug them.
Pretty sure you'll find it works.

Re: text editor
Normal, you need to create a text file in X-Memory before being able to edit it.
Try the following:
Code: Select all
"ABC" // X-Memory file name
20 // X-Memory file size in registers
CRFLAS // X-Memory Create File ASCII
ED$ // Edit X-Memory ASCII File
