I'd say in 2 places:
1. On the MoHPC in the Not Quite... Forum
2. In the Discuss Forum here on this site. Even though the 34S and 31S are mostly unrelated (excepting of course the recent port to the DM42 platform) lots of folks using those devices, and wanting to, congregate and look around here, due the 43S activity. Makes sense to make it easier for folks to find info they're looking for.

Re: WP34S for the DM42
Yes, in principle. But I can care of the WP3xS support on this very forum here; I can't on the MoHPC, for vacational reasons since 2016.

Done also on MoHPC.

Certamente, Massimo, you know. Though I know that my judge was demoted to plain member - but his false verdict is maintained. Such is justice in the Wild West. Though that's no singularity, there are many processes being hardly understandable beyond the Atlantic. I feel blessed living in Europe.

Seems to be a win-win situation so far. Obviously not for logic and justice but apparently for people.rprosperi wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 10:55 pmIndeed, many of us are blessed you live in Europe...Walter wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 9:33 pm... Re: WP34S for the DM42
I think your question has probably been answered by Walter, but just to confirm: the mechanism is the same on the DM42 version as on the real thing. You need to write a program that starts with \(\delta x\), \(\Delta x\), \(\delta X\), or \(\Delta X\), and that returns the value of \(\epsilon\) that you wish to use.lrdheat wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 6:44 pmHi Nigel,
I was trying to use SLV f’(x)’F0’ with my F(0) program of the function x/(2x+1)^3 to find an extremum. An extremum is at .25, but my unit is coming up with .2520. My physical WP 34S (repurposed HP 30b) comes up with the correct .25 Is it possible that I need to specify a small epsilon (and how do I do so?)? Same program in both units!

It might be convenient to make the content of this program RCL 99, so that you could store your favourite value of \(\epsilon\) in register 99. This would also allow you to put this program in the flash region, as you wouldn't need to change its contents when changing the value of \(\epsilon\).
Thank you for your continued interest!

Re: WP34S for the DM42
Hi Nigel,
I’m having difficulty typing/finding the symbol delta x or delta Greek d, even outside of a program. How do I find these characters? Do I call the program (symbol)delta (Greek) d? How do I type the delta (symbol) d (Greek character) into the label command?

Re: WP34S for the DM42
On the WP34S greek symbols in alpha mode are on the g-shifted plane, on the DM42 port of the WP34S press Shift Shift D to get the \(\Delta\) character, press Shift ON before for the lower case \(\delta\).
