I so agree with meaningful, well thought out standards.

Last true pi day was 31.4.1592, next will be 3141-5-9 or 3.1.4159. Half pi day will be the 31st of April FWIW.

Point taken. Even less true pi days! So we have to go back to 3.1.415 or 314.1.5.

We should make sure to celebrate all the round anniversaries that we can!
What is the metric tensor in imperial units?
Re: 3-14 Pi Day 2023
I have yet to read a convincing theory about traveling back in time. Forward is easier, or at least to slow down time by traveling fast and return to earth, having aged just as a small percentage of earthlings
If traveling back in time became possible, I would travel back to the late 80’ies, and steal the HP-41CV (including NAV pack, Time module, CCD module, tape machine, wand, magnetic reader, video moduke+NEC Monitor) and HP-75 from myself, before I stupidly sold it to buy a PC

Back is easy - you just have to travel faster.

Re: 3-14 Pi Day 2023
I agree. For me, there is no doubt that pi day is irrational.Walter wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 11:44 amSomething like MMDDYYYY is simply disordered, not sorted according to size, neither decreasing nor increasing, just chaotic. Claiming such a 'pi day' looks arbitrary hence.
