What on earth is the link between the well-ordered sequences 20230314 or 14032023 and pi = 3.1415926..
.?? :?

Just celebrated with colleagues in the office.
Sorry, wasn't quick enough, so just \( \frac{\pi}{2} \) left :P

No problem, I'll go with\( \frac{\pi}{2} \) and be content. :P

I don't eat carbs.
I’ll drink \( \frac{\pi}{2} \) liters of water for the pi day. That’s good enough.

Something like MMDDYYYY is simply disordered, not sorted according to size, neither decreasing nor increasing, just chaotic. Claiming such a 'pi day' looks arbitrary hence.

Last true pi day was 31.4.1592, next will be 3141-5-9 or 3.1.4159. Half pi day will be the 31st of April FWIW.

Very much in agreement, I deal with dates on reports in my daily work, and an old database sorted dates via the text representation. YYYYMMDD HH24MISS (Year, Month Day, 24hour, Minutes, Seconds) was the way to go.

Moved on from that database, but still prefer the format.

Actually, your preferred format follows ISO date format (or vice versa ;) ). There are reasons. 8-)
