Hi,
Whilst browsing the source, I've found that the Makefile supports building the emulator for Mac.
So I've installed the dependencies, launched it but it fails as soon as it starts using ninja.
the mac sections under https://gitlab.com/rpncalculators/c43/- ... uild-setup should go a long way to get the native mac simulator going. I use ‘make’ which works for me to make the executable and when running the executable, XQuartz starts up by itself. (On my previous MBP, I had to start XQuartz manually prior to running).
I would say this is a development and debug tool so far.
It’s not meant to be and no-one is developing to improve it as a standalone software. The focus is the hardware and we use the simulator as an effective and essential platform to debug and demo code and therefore keep it up to date.
The fonts and text spacing may well not be perfect but the sim works on the target platforms and does its work and as such it is an amazing replacement for the built-in calcs. Imho.

My intent was not to criticize. This was a mere remark and when I find a tool is missing what I would like, I usually contribute.
I wrote the timer, the QT based multi-platform and the IOS emulators for the WP-34s and as the C43 is now my favorite calc, the one I use daily, I am interested in a Mac version too.
