pm42, if I may ask, how do you manage to align the paper so precisely for cutting?

The print has 2 cutting marks, i.e. small red crosses, one left bottom, the other upper right.
The free cutting software I'm using, Lightburn has an assistant where you put the laser head on top of the first mark, click on a button, move it to the second mark, click again and say "now align with scaling".
After that, it will cut perfectly even if the paper is askew, etc.
I position the laser head with 1/10mm precision, using a magnifier and a flash light.

Once you are used to it, this is a straightforward process and it takes less than a minute to do so.

P.S: I just cut several of them because one forum member asked me too so I have 4 extras. If someone wants one or two, it is easy to contact me.

Okay, that sounds quite practical. I fear I'm not quite there yet with my laser cutter. I'm currently using LaserWeb, but it doesn't seem to have that feature. (Also, I'm still not quite finished with the grbl firmware settings, since I built my laser cutter out of an old 3D printer and had to change quite a few things.)

It seems to me that these data can be found in https://www.classic43.com/downloads/202 ... _print.pdf on the C43 website.
I will update the printable PDF card (mentioned in the quote above) with our high quality bezel image, for home printing. This is the same image that appears in the "flyer" which is also included in the latest software download.

It should not take longer than a day to paste together the updated card. I will report back here when it is uploaded.

Haakon, Dani, inautilus and Jaymos, do you dare to guess when the bezel will be awailable for purchage?
I will respond soon about the plate - as soon as I have a definitive answer.
Jaymos, do You have a hi-res pdf version with the "flaps" in the sides drawn on it?
Just found my exactoknife, and will try making another one, and perhaps give a thin coat of varnish.
I'm using my C43 every day at work, and my paper bezel is starting to wear down ;-)

No - I do not believe the 6 little tabs on the calculator are useful to bother with flaps as the material has to be so thin for it to be useful and the thinner the material the less useful a supposedly rigid flap would be.

That is the reason my preferred paper solution is thicker photo paper which already has a coating and stays stiffer. As such it does not fit into the tabs. I did link in a previous post the extremely thin double sided tape to keep the whole card down onto the bezel. I get very good mileage from this method. At Allschwil I gave a few such samples out - I had a dozen made to dish out, but they were finished quick.
