C43/C47 bezel expected when?
Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Any overlay thicker than 0.3 mm will hardly fit in the slots provided.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
An alternative to using the slots and / or double-sided tape to secure an overlay is "3M ReMount Removable Repositionable Spray Adhesive". Spray it on the back of your overlay; the overlay will stick down, and when you want to remove it you can peel it off again. In my experience, doing this leaves no residue on the faceplate, nor does it affect the faceplate lettering in any way.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
AFAIK, there's no provision for the calculator's front slots in the aforementioned templates
Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Maybe a metal bezel is not flexible enough to use the slots? I don't know, but I am confident that they'll find (probably already have) a viable solution.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
A 0.25mm sheet of steel will be flexible enough to use tongues fitting said slots. For the geometry, please look up App. F of the WP43 ReM.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Uh - it's a lot of cuts, 176 to be exact.
There's definetly no great craftsman hidden in me, the result is pathetic, but usable.
Next time, I will try using a razorblade-hobby-knife. A standard Stanley has a tendency to tear the paper.
Had I used normal thin paper, I think it would have torn apart.
But it is definitly usable for testing out the C43.
I tried both the WP43 and C43 earlier w/o the bezel, but that didn't work out for me.
I'm really looking forward to play with the C43 the comming days.
PS: I realy realy look forward to the metallic bezel

Hello Rudi,
many thanks for your example & photos from your result!
With your detailed explanations and experiences, it encourages me to give it a try myself.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
It shouldn't. If it does, it for sure means you need to break off a segment of the blade to get to the sharp part. Or that the blade is too old and has oxydation.
These blades are extremely sharp, which is partly the reason why they dull so fast.
Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Be careful and count your fingers afterwards
My stanley is very old and corroded. I'll buy a new one for the next time.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Which slots are you refering to Walter? There's no slots in my DM42, as the ones there were in the bottom of my HP-41CV.
I do not intend to replace the existing plate with the paper one I just made. I simply lay it on top of the calculator. Not very elegant, but sufficient for testiong
