An Exacto knife should be available in hobby stores, or possibly even Staples, an office supply store.
These are very sharp, and have a barrel like a pen, so should be controllable.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Look at the sides, or pass a fingernail through the internal border, did you find the slots now?rudi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 24, 2022 10:47 amWhich slots are you refering to Walter? There's no slots in my DM42, as the ones there were in the bottom of my HP-41CV.
I do not intend to replace the existing plate with the paper one I just made. I simply lay it on top of the calculator. Not very elegant, but sufficient for testiong

(I was only looking at the bottom, same place as the HP-41 slots)

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Right, but overlays' slots were moved on the sides on the 48 already.
Why embarrassing? Those are not prominently highlighted.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Maybe someone should design/build/sell "punching molds"
1 for each key size...
Or just one for the smallest size and we would punch more than once the largest key holes...

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
There definitely are slots along both sides, but they are quite thin and close to the bezel plane. Look at the sides with a magnifier and possibly a flashlight.rudi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 24, 2022 10:47 amWhich slots are you refering to Walter? Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Yes - they’re tiny. It looked thrice with my reading glasses and failed to see them. It wasn’t until I wore my extra strong reading glasses and used a very bright light I saw them

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Talking about overengineering, I just ordered a laser module for mounting on an old 3D printer that I don't use anymore.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
I do not use the 6 little tabs on the sides - they are way too flimsy and way too thin for practical use in my opinion of course.
I use photo paper from the printing lab (Fuji Frontier). I use thin double sided TESA tape from RS-Components.
