I’m pretty sure the blue on my 1982 HP 15C is lighter than Pantone 300 C.
Idem for the HP 32SII.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
For the blue I found this on the net: https://usbrandcolors.com/hp-colors/
For the yellow I made a document with the two yellows 123C and 124C of Pantone
I made a photo of ms HP 15C
I displayed both on the screen and saw for myself that 124C was more representative. But I could not find any official indications.
This being said, I wonder if it would not be better to create "c47 blue" and "C47 yellow". HP is not C47 and C47 is not HP.
C47 is big enough to do without these comparisons. Isn't it?

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
All I hope is that the yellow will not be as fluorescent as on the DM42...
The orange of the HP 32SII would suit me very well on the other hand.

Waaayyy back in spring 2020, Martin, Pauli, and I specified - after comparing vintage HPs and a Pantone card under Australian sun - yellow (130 PC) and blue (306 PC) for the WP43. AFAIK, these were used for printing on the pilots. The colours of their plastic shift keys deviate for sure.

WP43 SN00000, 34S, and 31S for obvious reasons; HP-35, 45, ..., 35S, 15CE, DM16L S/N# 00093, DM42β SN:00041
Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Not to mention those on the display frame.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
Certamente. Though I found them (their impression, at least) depending very much on the light source you use.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?
I have the yellow Pantone from SM; I'll dig it out, or ask Emy to post the answer here.

305C and 130C according to my email records. These have almost identical luminosity.Walter wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 7:12 pmWaaayyy back in spring 2020, Martin, Pauli, and I specified - after comparing vintage HPs and a Pantone card under Australian sun - yellow (130 PC) and blue (306 PC) for the WP43. 306C was duller I believe.
There was contention over the grey used: 441C or 442C. I think we ended up using the less luminous of the two.

I answered a question in the bug report thread on the progress of a tangible bezel ... here

Temporary Bezel Idea:
I printed out the latest version and took it to an office supply store and had it heat laminated with 3 mil plastic.
It was very easy to cut with an x-acto knife, although tedious...
It has a very clean and professional look and does not require any other post production, coating, etc.
I attached it with 2-sided tape.
