OK, I can continue to "provoke" the freeze.
On a fresh reset and only loading my state file.
Activating the "TRI" key for trig soft menu. Arrow down freezes the calc.
Same when "EXP" key has been activated for exponential soft menu.
Also, fiddling within the FLAG menu will occationally freeze if those arrow keys are pressed.
(At least I have gained quite a speed and excersise in reloading state files )

Congratulations to your successful training sessions.
Before loading your state file, can you please check where your program pointer ... points to?

Re: WP43 Bug Reports and Maintenance
Tried to reproduce it here: Entered g CLR, g RESET Y, f I/O, LOADST and chose ff.s43; loaded, then entered TRI, [↓], and all is fine and warm (i.e. no freeze, neither on the simulator nor the calculator). Tried also without resetting before. So sorry but I can't reproduce your observations so far. Please check your program pointer.DA74254 wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 9:09 amOn a fresh reset and only loading my state file.

Re: WP43 Bug Reports and Maintenance
@Walter.
Hmm, seems to be an intermittent hiccup here. Just now, I cannot reproduce the freeze.
Program pointer is at 0133:END (in #1 "Prime")
(FWIW, I haven't touched the programs yet).

Re: WP43 Bug Reports and Maintenance
Don't despair thinking you are doing something wrong.
There are old cases on the GitLab list of issues where long integers seem to behave erratic under some pre-conditions. We have recently pinpointed a 32-bit/64-bit boundary issue which could or could not be related. AFAIK it has not been addressed as yet.
It will be added to the watch list any way. Any concrete repeatable examples, especially noting the specific model (C47 or WP43) release version (INFO VERS?), and preferably starting the sequence from RESET (no loading of state file) will help. The more complicated the repeat sequence is, the more difficult it will be to pinpoint. So best case is for example: RESET 2 ENTER 2000 y^x CRASH. (this example is not it, just a form example).

Walter, Jaymos,
Thanks for your feedback.
I'll of course continue to play with my new toy. And of course, when something untoward occurs, I'll give an as accurate as possible sequence of events for the operation.

Re: WP43 Bug Reports and Maintenance
Hello,
It's me again..
I have removed the .bin file with programs and deleted all loaded programs from the calc.
Started on a "clean slate" and the only two programs/routines in flash and ram is the routine described in OM p. 131 (Big factorial using Gamma), and a program containing only:
I've set the program pointer to the top of this "program".
I've provoked the calc and also done several of the operations that froze it up earlier.
Within the last 1/2 hour or so, it has not crached.
I suspect that if one (me) hit the up/down arrows while the program pointer is at an "unfortunate" position in relation to what is on the stack, that is when it crashes. One or several of those "unfortunate" positions must be within the batch of test programs that followed the last version (0.23.12).
Attached is the "not crashed so far" state file.

Thanks, I've not been able to reproduce your issue but we'll keep monitoring it.
