My DM42S got a few updates yesterday, "Forsendelsen har forladt afsenderlandet" means "The shipment has left the country of dispatch".
I have no idea what "IN TRANSIT. IPS scan Close Receptacle (Otb)" means, is it still stuck in Holland?
The Danish Post, whi is making the final delivery, only states "The shipment has left the country of dispatch", but at least, they have the shipment number in their system.
Tax and VAT I will off course happily pay - rules are rules

[/irony] Doubt it. Else they've applied for CE well in advance.HP41CV wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:27 amSwissMicros put a big label on the outside, imprinted real value and including customs declaration with "May be opened officially" etc. so they KNOW what they are doing there....and for sure they know about the EU-regulation for electrical devices (yes, one small button battery counts)!

Re: Shipments and Tracking
Just got an Email from Michael...looks really like he has no glue what's going on!
I had exact the same problem two more times in the past years, one ended with refund, one ended with the product made conform (Kickstarter-Campaign) and then imported without problem!
I did some investigation though thru the EU-Regulations and, as far as I understood, the customs might have made indeed a mistake. There is low voltage regulation 2014/35/EU which they might have chosen not to approve the product BUT this seems not valid for voltages below 75V DC. I found nothing explicit stating such low voltages alike our beloved calculus machines! I try to call customs tomorrow to find out....

Re: Shipments and Tracking
To spare you a phone call: electrical devices operating at less than 75VDC are covered by 2001/95/EG about general product safety. In Germany, this European regulation is implemented by the ProdSG (get it from juris and enjoy reading legal stuff).HP41CV wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 4:23 pmI did some investigation though thru the EU-Regulations and, as far as I understood, the customs might have made indeed a mistake. Re: Shipments and Tracking
Well, in 2014/35/EU there are exactly the points mentioned by customs to be fulfilled for approval, whereas in 2001/95/EG there seems nothing specific required to obtain approval...I think I will make the call....maybe I become the Importer for SwissMicros into the EU....no, I don't want that, do I

Re: Shipments and Tracking
Swiss Micro should then open an account in the EU (France or Germany for instance as they are both very close to Basel) ; register and pay the VAT there for all EU customers and dispatch from there.
Or maybe subcontract to Amazon those logistics & taxes issues.

Re: Shipments and Tracking
Have been this morning by customs again (opens at 07:00AM here!).
The 2014/30/EU is the relevant EU-Regulation which applies. They had it on display prominently, took a picture, still trying to shrink it enough to fit it here. Informed SwissMicros accordingly.
