Yes, fantastic to see the return of a excellent emulation after the lost of m48
It’s great to use, and fast, but there is no need to backup objects or directories. I don’t want to risk hours of programming followed by a crash and loose my programs...

You can easily backup objects. In fact, it’s easier now with iHP48 than with m48.
Waiting for SM to release DM42 hardware with one additional row of keys.

Maybe I couldn't find the instructions on how to save programs or other objects out of this iHP48 app.
Could you tell me which helpsfile or resource I could read in order to do that ? thank you.

It's not a usual way, but after you do it once, you will love how it is done.
Also, sorry I missed this post.
Open the "Files" app on your iPhone.
Go up the menu tree to "Browse." This page lists iCloud Drive, Dropbox, whatever you have set up.
Choose "On my iPhone."
Choose "iHP48.
Drop your binaries there.
Exporting objects to the same location from iHP48 and pull them out just like you put them in. Works every time like a charm.
I hope this helps.

Re: m48 is back as iHP48 (much improved)
FYI, I made a new photorealistic 48GX skin for iHP48 based on Eric Rechlin's (of hpcalc.org) Real Calcs skins that was designed to best fit my iPhone 12 mini's screen. I think it'll stretch ok to fit other iPhones, but I haven't been able to test that. If you're having issues, in the advanced settings of iHP48, try changing the Zoom setting to something else.
https://mega.nz/file/sN92QIiI#z8ob4buv0 ... TrjFLqXC4Q
To use it, unzip the file and copy both the .png image and the .xml definition to your iPhone's /iHP48/Skins/HP48G folder and change the skin through the options menu. If you're curious about modifying the skin to fit a different phone, feel free to reach out and I can provide some tips.
Cheers!

It looks great on my iPhone 8. Thanks!
(And it turns out that you can download and unzip a zip file right on the phone nowadays, without even needing any third-party tools. When did that finally become possible? Nice, very convenient.)

Just one more row of keys, a base OS, and we ca load the ROM ourselves.
I’d be willing to use some super weird key sequence to act like the top row virtually.
I wrote a program for iHP48 that sets up my calculator, loads the programs and directories that I use. Very nice way if you ever need to wipe and begin again.

Hello Will,
First thanks for your nice work.
I have made some adjustments to your really nice work, just because after the last update of iHP48 I have received a lot of comments about your skin and problems with my new zoom options. I must recognize that I never have any other skin in mind than mine.
Now it supports all zooming options, and any device (I hope, actually I can't test all of them...)
Anyway, I have taken your code and made some changes, other little ones to the image, to make space for the iPhone indicators at right, and iHP48, has more than 128...
Now you can get your skin from the "Fetch" menu, it's called just "Real HD 48GX", because it should work on any model by now. At least the portrait option. No time for a landscape jet.
So please, try the new fetch option to get "Real HD 48GX" skin.
Best regards,
Alexis

Hi Alexis,
I'm glad you could find it to be useful. I installed your updated Real HD 48GX skin, and it seems to work great on my (now) iPhone 13 mini with the 'fit; fullscreen maintaining ratio' zoom option selected. Thanks again for maintaining this app!
Cheers,
Will
