At the least, newRPL would benefit from an additional row of hardware keys. Maybe the best path forward.
Waiting for SM to release DM42 hardware with one additional row of keys.

Well, if we're dreaming, I'd like:

50g internals and screen (on a modern processor)
48GX Keyboard layout
48SX color scheme.
Exactly so!! Plus microSDXC support, ideally.

48SX scheme because I too find blue/orange less "eye-beating" than purple/cyan. Prefer large horiz. ENTER of 48 over 50, but would be happy with either layout. I do feel the 50g hw and firmware loadouts were best-in-class (plus non-proprietary expandability, though make it microSDXC now because why not).
DM42, DM16L, and a menagerie of HPs thanks to CAS (Calc Acq Syndrome)!

Yup, I'd buy 5 of them. :ugeek:
That'd be my dream calculator too. :D

Thanks for the links!

Nice unboxing video, I'll watch the other later since it's longer (thanks Bob and Logan!).

If the original HP-32Sii held one program, and even if there's more memory, perhaps it would make sense to
  • load / save state, but also
  • load / save the program zone only (and keep the current configuration)

Hi all,
The good thing is that it is not one but three new models that are annouced by Bob... (I suppose 🤔)

The DM32...
But also the DM42 and DM41X based on new hardware 😜
It is definitely worth the wait!
Start saving...
Sincèrement, Sincerely, 73,
Boubker
