I will dare to make one more post in this loose guessing and speculation thread. I missed out, that Michael said "saturn CPU".
According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Saturn, the following models had a saturn CPU:
HP-71, HP-18, HP-48, HP-49, HP-39, HP-40, HP-50
Add to them the Pioneers' series.
Much more on target as an entry level RPN calculator.

They are one year overdue, and SM marketing is quiet. Obviously nothing can be told for the time being. Speculation is moot: it can be anything, if anything at all.
WP43 SN00000, 34S, and 31S for obvious reasons; HP-35, 45, ..., 35S, 15CE, DM16L S/N# 00093, DM42β SN:00041

Maybe we could get the title of this thread changed to May 2022 Speculations.
Yes, indeed. It's been a year — and we haven't been idling. Stay assured we do not neglect our user base. There have been hardships and setbacks, but a new machine is in the works and shows good progress. Enjoy the short video and stay tuned (a little bit longer) for more!

Aha. An HP-32SII clone with multi-line display. (And presumably other goodies as well.) So that's why they needed Saturn emulation, then...

HP-71, HP-18, HP-48, HP-49, HP-39, HP-40, HP-50
All of the Pioneer and Clamshell models also use various versions of the Saturn CPU, so you can add: HP-10B, 14B, 17B, 17BII, 19B, 19BII, 20S, 21S, 22S, 27S, 32S, 32SII and 42S to the list. Designed in 1981-83 and first introduced in 1983, the Saturn was at the heart of HP mid- to high-end models until the 50g introduced in 2006. Quite a long life for a given CPU architecture, though later emulation on ARM detracts from this a bit for some folks.
