If I understood you correctly, I'll get a DM42 with a new keyboard if/when I'd order one now, won't I?

That's correct, new order DM42s have the new keyboard design as well. These unit's are in-stock now, available to order.

Hello:

Is it possible getting a kit to upgrade the old keyboard?

Thanks,

Ander

It will be in due course. We're just looking at a few options we have right now, it actually isn't as simple as it sounds.

Not at this time, however options are being considered that meet the technical, installation and economic requirements to make it easily doable and mutually acceptable. However, I would not expect such an option to be available for several more weeks at least.

I just ordered a new DM 42 on Amazon this morning. Can't wait to feel the new keyboard!

Did they switch to stainless steel for both models, then? I thought the original DM42 had a titanium case, but the website currently specifies stainless steel for both the DM42 and the new DM41X.

Hopefully an update email goes out about the improved DM42. I wouldn't have known about it except for reading this thread, and I'm definitely interested in getting one.

AFAIK, Ti cases were only featured by the CC calculators. DM42 Beta had a stainless steel case already.

Correct. The DM42 always had a stainless steel back.

I don't have the s/n of my DM42 at hand but I ordered it on 9th September. Does it have the "old" keyboard or is it already the new improved version?

Edit: It's 06034.
