New DM42 hardware

Post by jant » Fri Sep 25, 2020 1:19 pm

As the new product pictures on the new website could suggest, is there a new hardware version of the DM42 available ? Maybe with an orange coloured fn-key and generally a new keyboard ?

Do I have to buy another DM42 now ??

There is indeed a new hardware variant of the DM42 to coincide with the launch of the DM41X and a new website.

Do you know if the keyboard has seen improvements concerning pressure point and optic ?

Essentially it's the keyboard that has been completely redesigned. This was the main gripe that people had with the DM42 and we're hoping to put that one to bed once and for all with this version. I've had a DM41X and a new DM42 for a few weeks now and this newer keyboard is much, much better all round than the old one.

Oh, and the production grade DM41X is a bit more pricey than I hoped. :(

Yeah, we're working on the 404s.

The idea was to get the new store up and running to release the DM41X. We're basically fixing everything else around it now.
