48SX

Post by JVDB »

Hello,

I'm using my DM42 for couple of weeks now and i'm really happy with it.

I found my trusty university companion back and i've put some new batteries in it. after +20 years in a box it does not want to start. Can any of you guys provide a name or address of someone who would try to repair? This thing has some emotional value :-)

Try pressing just above and between the "B" and "C" keys.
Keep pressing and then push "ON" key. If it starts then the foam over the internal contacts shall be replaced.
You could do by yourself but you have to crack the calc open, not for the faint of heart. You can find instructions at www.hpmuseum.org.
