DM 15X ?

Post by Olivier de Nantes »

An Idea, why not ?

A evolution of the DM15L, the DM15X, with the DM42 hardware, evolution of the I/O, looking like the DM42/41X setup menu and much more memory ?

Perhaps a not so good idea, but why not ?

Of course not

But the HP 15C was quite an interesting calculator, I had it also during my first years of PhD (even if I was mostly programming in Fortran VaX at that time) and I like it as well as the 41.

So I thought that an enhanced DM15 could be interesting, even if it is still on the DM 15L hardware with an optimized I/O interface.

It's why I was asking

Maybe you are right, I forgot that DM15L had firmwares with extended memory.

So if it not a good idea, next step could be DM 75XC and DM71XB ;)

An evolution of the DM15L is the DM42, like the HP-42S was an evolution of the HP-15C. No, I don't want to fall back to programming key codes.
WP43 SN00000, 34S, and 31S for obvious reasons; HP-35, 45, ..., 35S, 15CE, DM16L S/N# 00093, DM42β SN:00041
