I was under the impression the sin bug was fixed by WP43, but possibly it was not yet imported back into C43. I will check. The MAX bug, I had no time for yet. All bugfixing will now wait to restart Nov.PierreMengisen wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 2:22 pmHi Jaco,
What is the status of the "MAX" bug in the equation editor?
In the WINDOWS version on Mac it is still there!
Ditto for sin(x)-sin(x) with x=pi()
No other problems found for the moment.
Greetings to all.

I must apologise here, as I did not have the latest version. Everything is OK for the two reported cases.
Long live the C43!

Re: WP43S Alternative key layout --> C43
Oups ! with C43 on WINDOWS
In EQN EDIT by pressing key f (yellow) appears the HOME Menu ? (as if I were asking for g EQN)
To modify an equation I have to use the computer keyboard.
Unfortunately, sometimes the Max bug reappears ?

Re: WP43S Alternative key layout --> C43
Apparently the keys won't change in the future platforms, from the picture of the DM32 and the last discussions. This means the 4 left keys EXIT, SHIFT, UP and DOWN keep their smaller size (EXIT being slightly sunk to avoid being pressed accidentally). IMO another benefit of keeping arithmetic keys on the right, though I suppose one would get used to it (like the DM41X - but this makes think twice about ordering it; maybe the / is not sunk in this version?).
This also means that any future model in the "wish list" should take that into account. Unless there's a plan to change the layout after all.

We have looked at layout options to run C43 on the DM32 keys with a different bezel print (of course) but could not get to an acceptable layout. If memory serves we keep missing an important direct key. This is not yet off the table, although we (core team) are not working on it. Open for well thought out key arrangements. Its easy to add a complete profile to the simulator or hw for that matter.

Fixed the key issue. But Max did not pop out by me.PierreMengisen wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 11:16 amOups ! with C43 on WINDOWS

Please see if you can reproduce new conditions where it comes out EVERY time, which will make is easier for me to catch it.
I also disliked the fact that ^ and ( and ) were not mapped on the PC keyboard in EQN and fixed that too. Now, with these fixed, it seems you can type the whole equation in plain text using the PC keyboard. Nice.
Next release.

C43 : Complex Solver --> Very nice extension
Dear all,
I tried out the complex solver (cpxSlv) in the XEQ menu, present in the last update of the C43 firmware.
It is fantastic. Tried 5th degree and 9th degree equations with 1 real root. Found the complex conjugate pairs of
roots in a matter of a few minutes. A marvellous extension of the capabilities of the C43 project !
Many thanks to Jaco for the implementation!
