Yes thanks. Just arrived at home from a New Year party with friends. I’ll wait a day or two before updating. Exciting new features.

Happy New Year everyone!

Windows 10 c43 simulator:

Long click and long press keyboard F1-F6 to get g-menu not working again. It stops at f-menu and goes to NOP. Double click on function key working well. In previous release(108_08g) I can do this.

And weird behavior with keyboard action.. (on simulator :D)

We can long-press function key to get f-menu and g-menu. (f/g + function key, idk I explained correctly) Assuming I want to get g-menu, I can get it with press and hold mouse click but not with keyboard F1-F6. Long pressing F1 only can select f-menu, showing flashing line.
Edit: Ah, I missed new UI proposals. Thanks for the new options!

Just updated to 108.08p, ended up in having to press F1 and Reset simultaneously, don't really know why, cant reproduce. But now my C43 is 108.08p.

Tested DT-J and J->DT with the bug reported here

Code: Select all

[blue] [CLK]
DATE
TIME
DT->J
[yellow] [PART] IP
0,4999999
+
[blue] [CLK]
J->DT
The above now returns as expected:
Y: 01.01.2023
X: 23:59:59.991

Also set menu cycle to "F.14", which also works great, thank a lot for implementing this!

Only one small glitch, but that's probably me that's been messing up something: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3380&p=25414#p25414

PS:
And I also verified, that the 101 PI digits are correct, last group rounded from "679 8" to "680" ;-)

Many thanks for this starting gift of 2023!
On my PC (win 11) there is a small ui-error on the +-key. The '_' is out of bounds, see image

Slightly off topic but, looks like you didn't install C43__StandardFont.ttf font. Installing the font gives you better calculator appearance.

Regarding the pi digits: I edited the announcement post as I incorrectly said “IP” where you are right, it is meantvto be “ROUNDI”.

I did my update to the new 2022-12-31_108_08p_Release and all worked great, but I have one question:
I thought if I did "SAVE" prior to the update, I would be able to recover my custom MyMenu configuration, but it seems like MyMenu didn't get restored along with everything else.

Should I have done it some other way? Or should MyMenu be included in that which gets saved with "SAVE" ?

I'm kicking myself for not at least taking a picture beforehand :-D

Thanks again, hard-working developer folks—this is great stuff!

Hm, from your post I conclude that you probably _did_ LOAD after starting the calculator, to recover your SAVEd config.

In any case, LOAD should restore the MyMenu as well. Because of some changes that were made in the code, it is possible that a SAVE from a previous version cannot be (completely) loaded. Maybe that is the case here.

Though the C43 software is of course still in development, we are trying to make things like this work across versions more gracefully. That is about the depth of what I know of this at the moment. I am developing most of the documentation for C43, so I try to keep track of these things.

Right, I did do a LOAD immediately after restarting the calculator with the new firmware flashed. It brought back my settings for stuff on the status row, but MyMenu seems to have been sent to the ether. So, if MyMenu recovery isn't functioning as desired, it might be a minor bug for future investigation.

thanks much!
