Two Weims ...? I think it was on the laser printing.

Must have missed the template sent by Dani ...
where can it be viewed? Thanks
Yes. him.

Page 40 of this forum.
It is actually UV Cured inkjet printed on a suitable substrate and then laser cut.
It could be removable or adhesive backed. It shouldn't be too permanent so it can be replaced when the WP44C comes out...
What kind of material can be used?
What suitable material is rigid so that it will neither curl nor bend, can be printed on crisply, and can be cut?

Hi There TwoWeims ....

It might be very helpful if there was a link posted to some shop (possibly yours ... I'm not sure) employing this process on some other project. Do you know of any such a video, youtube clip, etc? Thank you in advance ...

I could see now.
First thing I note is that after all the years it is still stiff and straight.
It seems to be a plastic type card.

If that type of card can fit the 6 locating slots on the DM42 it may be ok. As long as it will stay down. It is essential.

I think you may have clicked the wrong Link ... not much on the posted link pertaining to plastic. :)
No I went back to the original link of yesterday and I refer to the photo with the calculator and plastic key overlay.

I think original HP quality is good enough too. Enclosed over 35 years old overlays for the HP-41(, where my handwriting is too small for me now to can be read...).

Especially the overlays (right) for own editing appear stiff enough to be held safely in the slots.

I'm thinking the one on the left (maybe the right as well) is Acetal ... or perhaps you already know what it is? Judging from the phto I put it somewhere in the vicinity of 0.022" - 0.030" thick.

The nice thing too about a polymer like that is its capacity for just the right amount of flex for easy installation ... while being stiff enough to not have a cheap feel and rattle or flop around while inserted. VERY easy to process and machine as well .....
