Love the project, want to help. However, time is the major constraint here. Though I studied mathematics & computer science today I‘m just writing software in my spare time every now and then. Not very often. So I‘m no longer deep into programming and would slow down the project unneccessarily.

However, I already contacted Walter and I hope I can support in testing and/or proof reading documentation.

I already flashed my DM42 (hint: I needed to upgrade DMCP to version 3.19 because that updated IFC to 3.14 which is the minimum version needed to run the WP43S.PGM) and today I started to redecorate my DM42 into a WP 43S. Still have to do the keys, though ...

A question came to my mind: how many people on earth have done this? My guess: 17. Are they all here on this forum? :D

So, come over here -> https://gitlab.com/Over_score/wp43s. 8-)
As far as I know every testing is very high valued as well as helping with mathematical issues or some implementations. So all of your help is really appreciated I think!
You can open an Issue there for Bugs you found or to offer your abilities. Someone will reply for sure!

(You overlay looks great so far!)

Not me :D I installed the simulator under linux, runs fine.
I am more a user waiting till the hardware is ready although I have a DM42 that I don't use much because the DM41X suits my use much better.

90.1% of all specified commands/operations are implemented now. If project time were just proportional to the amount of commands to deal with, it would take another year to finish this project. Of course, it will go the faster the more people collaborate actively...

It's a hobbyist's project. Our team has still space for growth, so applications of C programmers are welcome. Development systems are Linux and Windows. Looking forward to your applications...

We've got 1717 members on this forum. Guess there are some programmers among them at least, even some C programmers, I presume. Are you one of them? Are you willing to contribute actively to the final 10% of the 43S, the ultimate RPN pocket calculator? Then please apply. You will be welcome...

I would like to contribute but my knowledge in "actual" programming is too limited.Thank you all for the time you dedicate to this project. :)

@Walter
I wish I could help. I was an engineering programmer many years ago and understand the fundamentals but with FORTRAN and BASIC with a bit of PASCAL. I have the time but not the skills. Alas, I wish you well.

Walter,
I am an active and experienced C (1985+) and C++ (1988+) programmer in embedded, desktop and server.
Unfortunately, the lack of available time is the main problem for me.
