It's about time to wish all our friends a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous new year.

Our development team is growing, so we can hope progress in SW will accelerate slightly in 2019.

Outside Germany, Christmas doesn't really start until the 25th. :-)

Merry Christmas, Walter!

Why, does it start earlier in Germany?

Merry Christmas to all!

For us here, Christmas eve is Cristmas Eve and it's the evening of December 24th (called "Heiligabend", literally translated "holy evening", cf. "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht, ..." i.e. "Silent night, holy night, ...").

For us here, Christmas eve is Cristmas Eve and it's the evening of December 24th (called "Heiligabend", literally translated "holy evening").
Christmas Eve is the 24th everywhere, but what's different in Germany (and other German-speaking countries, and probably some other places I don't know of as well) is that the giving of gifts happens on that evening, rather than on the 25th, so people get into the Christmas spirit a bit earlier than elsewhere.

Here in France (very, very close to the German border, not elsewhere in France), it is the "Christkind" (Christ Child as an approximate translation) and not Santa Claus who brings the gifts on Christmas eve (24th evening).

Traditionally, gifts used to be given on Christmas Day here in the UK but only opened on the day after Christmas, hence the name "Boxing Day".
There are only 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who do not.

I suppose in modern parlance it should be known as Unboxing Day (except on YouTube, where every day is an unboxing day!).
