OK I must be missing something.

(...)

wp43s-master-artwork - all the files are copied to the WP43S folder

What am I missing to make the new version run ?

Thanks !
Yep, that's the comment I did in a thread about the usage of the emulator... here

it's not all the files of the artwork folder... but the folder itself with all the files inside...

Best regards

I got it up and running.

When I extracted the Artwork Folder - it put it beneath a subfolder called wp43s-master-artwork. I moved it to the folder where WP43 is. Now is all and working.

Thanks !

I've come across what I think is a bug, or at least unintended behaviour, on the WP43S emulator. It is freshly built from source today! (I can't get the Windows version to run, but Linux is fine.)
  • Press 3 . 3 0 f d.ms to give a display of 3 degrees, 30 minutes, and 0 seconds.
  • Press 1/x twice.
The display shows 3.3; I feel that it should show 3.5. The reciprocal key is treating the dms representation as an ordinary decimal. Other (non-trig) keys do the same, in particular e^x. I came across this doing a half-life calculation with time in hours and minutes and a decay constant in hours^(-1); I simply got the wrong answer.

Thanks for reporting. You're right, this is a bug. According to p. 72 of the OM, 1/x should be illegal for an angle. (Edit 28.6.: we've to look closer at the angles - might take a while.)

Regarding your second issue, times are not implemented yet. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Updated manuals v0.16 are available. UNDO is implemented. Enjoy testing! (And please don't forget reporting your findings.)

You find the simulator app wp43s.exe for your tests in https://gitlab.com/Over_score/wp43s/-/t ... 20binaries.
And the image wp43s.pgm for flashing the hardware is in https://gitlab.com/Over_score/wp43s/-/t ... 2%20binary.

Enjoy!

Looked through the dm 43 manual today. Looks really good. Maybe I'll check out the emulator again to see the recent progress.

Our giant software department works hard focussed on programming mode. Stay tuned, we're still alive. 8-)
