Re: 43S News

I am using WP43S Windows Parallels Desktop 17
In view of a programmable version, I'm trying LocR from g P.FN which is apparently released for some time (or not?).
The result is a total loss... :?:

Merci, Pierre, for reporting. 23 more points for you. We'll look into it.

with wp43S.exe :

matrix division
A={(1;1) (1;1)} B={(1;1) (1;i)}
A/B => complet freeze :oops:

On the other hand I don't understand how the copy to clipboard works with a matrix in one of the registers
for
cmd_h.png
cmd_h.png (5.33 KiB) Viewed 2445 times
with "z" we get
K = 0.
J = 1
I = 1
L = 2
D = 0.
C = 0.
B = 0.
A = 0.
T = 3.141592653589793238462643383279503
Z = 0.
Y = REGISTRE Y
X = REGISTRE Y

I think it's not very good to use! ;)

  1. You cannot divide by a matrix ((1; 1); (1; 1)) since this matrix is not invertible. Please check a textbook about linear algebra.
  2. What do you mean with "copy to clipboard"? If you want to copy a matrix present in X into another register, e.g. R00, you can do via STO 00 most easily. Vice versa, a matrix in R00 can be recalled to X via RCL 00. All the same procedures as for plain numbers. I don't know of a clipboard in the 43S,

Copy to clipboard means that the "x" or "z" or "Z" does not work to copy a matrix in the registers, or X, to the clipboard.

Try this 2x2 matrix,
Clipboard02.jpg
Clipboard02.jpg (2.41 KiB) Viewed 2415 times
and invert it,
Clipboard03.jpg

then multiply with a 2x1 matrix

Thanks, Jaco, for your first post clarifying the clipboard.

I don't get what you want to tell us with your second post though. Can you enlighten me, please?

The OP stated that matrix division does not work.

I clarified in an example how it does work.

This is not the matrix I used, put your glasses to read B22 !

read what is and not what we would like it to be

It must be a problem of divisions of complex matrices (in any case of dimensions 2x2)

[[1 1][1 1]] / [[1 1][1 i]] should be [[1 1][0 0]]
