Last time I had a look, the keys looked suspiciously glued or post-melted into the screen assembly.
You're right - my apologies. For some reason I thought the keyboard was a drop in section. In which case, Walter's idea of polishing off the existing keycaps is probably the easiest way to get a blank keyboard. Not sure my hand is steady enough to repaint the keycaps though! :-)
